When I saw that Spyro had done an album of Covers, I cringed. then I was terrified to begin listening. then I Listened. now I cant stop Listening. Jay and the guys have pulled off an incredible feat. An entire album of incredible covering of great songs. And the more times you listen, the better they get. The only song I didnt initially like was What a Fool Believes. I gave this 3 stars because its smooth Jazz Fusion, though the style mentions Funk, maybe a bit but not over powering, I'm good with this album.

I gave this two stars because some obvious talent is on display here. However, the end result too often sounds like an unenthusiastic effort from Weather Report. This is categorized as Jazz Funk, but it's most obvious debt is to Jazz Fusion. Funk needs to be funky. This ain't that.
