Album

One Thousand Years of Trouble is the debut full-length album, and second album overall, by English electronic rock band Age of Chance, released in 1987 by Virgin Records. After attracting the attention of Virgin with their industrial cover version of Prince's Kiss, the band signed to the label and began working on the album with producer Howard Gray, whose Sequential Circuits Studio 440 drum machine enticed the band. Gray was given free hand by Virgin on the album, which was recorded at Trident. Age of Chance was no more than 18 months ahead of its time - two years, tops - but that short gap was enough to doom the band commercially. If 1987's One Thousand Years of Trouble had been released in 1989, when groups like Pop Will Eat Itself and Carter USM were actively exploring the links between Iggy Pop and Public Enemy, it would have been hailed as groundbreaking. Amazing album, without a doubt under-rated the fact that it's never been remastered on CD is not only a shame but proof of this. First Age Of Chance song I heard was 'Who's Afraid Of The Big Bad Noise' and for a while I assumed this was their one lasting song, like most 80's acts, but after getting their first EP, Crush Collision, I knew differently. Tracklist: 1. We Got Trouble, 2. Dont Get Mad Get Even, 3. Ready Or Not Here We Come, 4. Shut Up & Listen, 5. Hold On, 6. Whos Afraid Of The Big Bad Noise, 7. Take It, 8. This Is Crush Collision, 9. Learn To Pray. Текст песни: Theres a beautiful noise comin' out from the street A devilish rhythm and a crush-go beat Noise from the clubs, noise from the cars More noise than one million . We Got Trouble Lyrics. Don't Get Even Lyrics. Ready Or Not Here We Come Lyrics. Produced by Howard Gray & Age Of Chance. Label Virgin Records. Artwork by The Designers Republic. Producers Age Of Chance & Howard Gray. Writers Geoff Taylor, Jan Perry, Neil Howson & 1 more. More Age Of Chance albums. Album 1987 14 Songs. We Got Of Chance were an alternative rock, indie dance band from Leeds, England active from 1985 to 1991. They are perhaps most known for their mutant metallic cover of Prince's Kiss that topped the indie chart in 1986 but narrowly missed being a crossover mainstream hit at the beginning of 1987, reaching only 50 in the U. Despite signing for major label Virgin and being favourites with the music press, they never enjoyed a pop hit. CD Album. CD Single. CD Maxi. This ends the albumcassette portion of the songs that i have on my original cassette copy. The rest i guess are bonus songs for the mp3 or cd release, i'm not sure. Based on short samples, they all sound ok but nothing jumped out at me. I'm not sure what category Age of Chance falls into musically but it doesn't matter cause their blend of guitars, synths, turntables, big beats, and brash vocals all seamlessly melded together to create a fresh, cool, exciting, fun, uptempo, in-your-face, in-your-speakers kind of music. All the 45 and up songs are worthy of download. But even if you don't, spend the 1 and get Learn to Pray at least
